The United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Sigrid Kaag joined today a celebration for Mother’s Day at the Saint Elias High School in Darb Es Sim near Saida.
In her statement, she stressed the universal values of the United Nations, with particular emphasis on peace, coexistence, dignity and human rights, and on the critical role that parents and teachers play in promoting them. Those values are common to all societies and provide firm foundations for a more equitable future.
