Amid a climate of growing uncertainty in Lebanon and the region, UN Special Coordinator Joanna Wronecka discussed with Lebanese officials and religious figures the importance of safeguarding the country’s stability and the wellbeing of its citizens.

This week, UN Special Coordinator Joanna Wronecka joined UN Under-Secretary-General Jean-Pierre Lacroix in his meetings with Lebanese officials to stress the importance of shielding Lebanon from an expansion of the war in Gaza and the importance of implementing Resolution 1701.

UN Special Coordinator Joanna Wronecka visited south Lebanon on 7 December to extend support to UNIFIL and to residents of the border areas who were affected by the exchange of fire across the Blue Line.
