26 Jul 2017 - Yesterday, the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Ms. Sigrid Kaag and the Director of UNRWA in Lebanon, Mr. Claudio Cordone, visited the Palestine refugee camp of Ein El Hilweh. They met with representatives and residents of the camp, including women and youth groups, and visited UNRWA installations and other areas in the Camp. -
05 Jul 2017 - UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Sigrid Kaag and Deputy Special Coordinator, Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator Philippe Lazzarini held today a dialogue with the Beirut-based media on the UN’s role and priorities in Lebanon. Focus was on the UN’s “whole of Lebanon approach” that takes into consideration support for Lebanon’s peace and security, stability and stabilization. -
16 Jun 2017 - The members of the International Support Group (ISG) for Lebanon welcome today's agreement of a new electoral framework. The ISG sees this as a further step towards the reactivation of Lebanon's institutions of state and the normalisation of Lebanese political life, which will in turn be conducive to addressing pressing concerns of Lebanon's citizens, and to enhanced cooperation with the international community.

18 Apr 2017 - Joint statement of the International Support Group (ISG) for Lebanon Beirut, Lebanon 18 April 2017 The members of the ISG take note of the decision of President Michel Aoun of 12 April to adjourn the chamber for one month. They also take note of Speaker Nabih Berri’s announcement to convene the next session on 15 May.

24 Mar 2017 - United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Ms. Sigrid Kaag and United Nations Deputy Special Coordinator Mr. Philippe Lazzarini met with the President of the Republic of Lebanon, H.E. Michel Aoun at the Baabda Palace. The meeting took place ahead of President Aoun's anticipated meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at the upcoming Summit of the Arab League. -

20 Feb 2017 - International funding for Lebanon in 2016 amounted to USD 1.9 billion, as shown by the funding update released by the Office of the United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Lebanon. This amount includes a total of USD 1.57 billion disbursed by donors in 2016 and USD 344 million carried over from 2015 by UN Agencies, the World Bank and NGOs. -
