Following media reports regarding links between the United Nations and an Organisation calling itself 'the International Human Rights Commission', the United Nations in Lebanon would like to reconfirm that this Organisation is not part of or affiliated with the United Nations in any manner.
The United Nations in Lebanon recalls that the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is the sole United Nations body mandated to promote and protect human rights.
