United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert commenced an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The trip is part of the Special Coordinator’s ongoing consultations with regional and international stakeholders which focus, among other issues, on opportunities for the international community to support Lebanon in its efforts to advance the centrality and role of the State and to implement United Nations Security Council resolution 1701 (2006).

بدأت المنسّقة الخاصّة للأمم المتّحدة في لبنان، جينين هينيس-بلاسخارت، زيارة رسميّة إلى المملكة العربية السعودية وذلك في إطار مشاوراتها المستمرّة مع الجهّات الإقليمية والدولية. وتركّز هذه المشاورات، إلى جانب قضايا أخرى، على بحث الفرص المتاحة أمام المجتمع الدولي لدعم لبنان في مساعيه لتعزيز دور الدولة وترسيخه، إضافةً إلى دفع الجهود المبذولة لتنفيذ قرار مجلس الأمن رقم 1701 (2006).
