United Nations Special Coordinator Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert visited the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli . She met with local and parliamentary officials and spent time at the Municipality of Tripoli, as well as a university and hospital.

The visit was an opportunity to learn about the realities and challenges facing Lebanon’s second largest city and the efforts underway to promote its development and stability.
