I just had a really useful and constructive meeting with the Prime Minister where we discussed the upcoming conference in Rome that is about international support for the Lebanese security institutions and the importance of strengthening the Lebanese security institutions.

We also took stock of some of the regional dynamics that are happening around Lebanon and affecting Lebanon.

Then we also discussed the upcoming elections. It is always reassuring to hear that elections will take place on time on 6 May. We, from the UN side, are looking forward to supporting Lebanon through that process.
