United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Sigrid Kaag, met with the Grand Mufti of Lebanon, Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian.
Discussions covered the political developments and the challenges Lebanon continues to face as a result of the spillover of the Syrian crisis.The Special Coordinator acknowledged the important role played by Dar al-Fatwa in countering radicalization and extremism, and in working to build bridges with other communities to safeguard Lebanon’s stability and co-existence.
