Good Afternoon,

I just had a very fruitful discussion and meeting with Minister Riachy, very much focused on his vision to emphasize Lebanon's strength and values as a country of dialogue, tolerance and conviviality. We discussed ways also in which we can jointly as United Nations with the Ministry, with the minister himself, tackle issues around social cohesion, perceptions, by citizens and those on Lebanon's soil, to really promote communication as a way to reach a better understanding of the situation of others and therefore the position any citizen may find himself in.

Lebanon is always at a cross roads in a region that is volatile with many new unexpected developments and therefore it's up to Lebanon, and with our support hopefully, where we can focus on all positive attributes and in invest in those, Lebanon as a model as a pillar of this very special form of dialogue, through dialogue we prevent but we can also heal and reconcile.
