A Team of UN staff, including from the Office of the UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon, took part in the annual biking day in Tripoli, in north Lebanon, dedicated this year to the empowerment of women. The Bike Tripoli #4 was organized by the Social Way NGO, in cooperation with a number of other partners including UNIC-Beirut and Tripoli and Al-Mina municipalities. The bike ride, under the theme “Empowering Women in Decision Making Positions”, covered an area of 12 kilometers. One of the main bikers was Lebanese explorer and Ambassador of “Bike Tripoli”, Maxime Chaya, in addition to elite political and diplomatic figures, and celebrities, members of the civil society and other participants.
