Very good morning.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres Meets Prime Minister Najib Mikati (UN Photo-Eskinder Debebe)
I would like to once again express my gratitude to Prime Minister Mikati for his invitation and for his hospitality. This is the second day of my visit and I must say that I have reasons to feel encouraged.
When I was High Commissioner for Refugees, I came many times to Lebanon and I could see the solidarity of the people of Lebanon with so many refugees. I believe this is the moment for us all in the world to express the same solidarity with the people of Lebanon.
Merci infiniment Monsieur le Président. Permettez-moi de parler en Anglais.
Good evening, I am very happy to be back in Lebanon.
